Residential plumbing

2 inside sales reps, $210K in new revenue. The company had plenty of estimates going out but not enough follow-up. We recruited 2 inside sales reps to work unsold estimates, financing inquiries and maintenance opportunities. Result: $210K in additional sales over 6 months, with a 6.4x return on staffing costs.

Real estate team

14 extra closings. Hundreds of old buyer and seller leads sat in the CRM. 2 inside sales agents handled speed-to-lead, qualification and database reactivation, and over 6 months booked 118 qualified appointments, contributing to 14 additional closings and $126K in gross commission income.

Insurance agency

$180K in additional written premium. Producers were spending too much time chasing documents and servicing existing policies. 2 account assistants took over certificates, renewals and policy changes; the producers gained back roughly 15 hours each per week, helping the agency generate $180K in additional written premium in 6 months.

How we test sales reps: the call before your call

Every sales finalist runs a live role play with our team before you see them, built from your offer. Written and oral English tests come first (French or Spanish too, if you sell in those languages).

  1. Discovery. Five minutes to find the buyer's problem, budget and timeline without reading a script.
  2. Objection handling. "It's too expensive", "I need to talk to my partner", "send me something by email".
  3. Follow-up on a cold quote. A prospect who went quiet after an estimate two weeks ago.
  4. CRM hygiene. Log the call, set the next step and update the stage in a CRM like yours (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, GoHighLevel).
  5. Your interview. You meet 3–5 finalists.

Licensed products. Selling insurance or real estate usually requires a state licence. A remote rep can qualify, follow up, book and support your licensed producers or agents; anything that needs a licence stays with your licensed team unless your hire holds the required licence. This isn't legal advice.

Remote sales representative FAQs

What's the difference between an SDR and a sales representative?
An SDR books meetings: prospecting, cold outreach and qualifying inbound leads. A sales representative (inside sales rep, account executive or closer) works those opportunities through to a signed deal and often manages the account afterwards.
Can a remote sales rep close deals?
Yes. Our inside sales and closing hires run discovery, demos, estimates and follow-ups by phone and video, and are tested on a live role play of your sale before you meet them.
How much does a remote sales representative cost?
Inside sales reps, account executives and closers through Talentige typically earn $1,300–$1,600 a month plus commission, depending on market and experience; bilingual reps are about $1,600. SDRs and appointment setters typically earn $800–$2,000 a month. You pay nothing until you hire, then a one-time fixed placement fee by role.
Should I pay commission?
Yes, for closing roles. Typical pay is $1,300–$1,600 a month plus commission tied to your own targets, and we'll help you set a plan that's competitive in your hire's market.
Can a remote rep sell insurance or real estate?
They can qualify leads, follow up, book appointments and support your licensed producers or agents. Activities that require a licence stay with licensed staff unless your hire holds the required licence.
Which CRMs do they use?
HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, GoHighLevel, Close and others. We test CRM use during screening.
How fast can I hire?
You'll meet 3–5 tested finalists in about 14 days. Every placement has a 90-day replacement guarantee.
