Holidays: whose calendar your SDR follows

Your SDR follows your company's holiday calendar, apart from one or two Mexican holidays you agree upfront, often Independence Day (16 September) or Christmas. For reference, these are Mexico's statutory rest days under the Ley Federal del Trabajo (Art. 74):

  1. Jan1 Jan · New Year's Day
  2. Feb1st Monday · Constitution Day
  3. Mar3rd Monday · Benito Juárez's birthday
  4. Apr
  5. May1 May · Labour Day
  6. Jun
  7. Jul
  8. Aug
  9. Sep16 Sep · Independence Day
  10. Oct
  11. Nov3rd Monday · Revolution Day
  12. Dec25 Dec · Christmas Day

Also statutory: 1 October every six years (presidential inauguration, next in 2030) and federal or local election days.

Labour-law note. Mexican employment law gives employees benefits such as the aguinaldo (at least 15 days' pay before 20 December, LFT Art. 87) and paid vacation (12 days after the first year, LFT Art. 76). Talentige hires join your team as full-time contractors under a government-stamped, locally compliant contract with an NDA, so these employee rules work differently. Agree any year-end bonus upfront. This isn't legal advice.
